Profile - Punita Kamadar, Windy Heights
Design
and creativity runs in her blood. Evidence of her talent shows in her
vocation and the unique decor of her home. Punita Kamdar's spacious and
airy apartment at Windy Heights is the envy of her visitors. With the
well-coordinated, intricately designed furniture and decorations, all
imported from the Indian sub-continent, one cannot stop admiring this
former graphic designer's apartment.
In every corner, there is one unique decoration or another to wonder at. There is a beautiful, intricately carved swing in one corner (reminiscent of Indian palaces from days gone by), an antique cupboard that serves as the liquor cabinet, and eye-catching paintings all over the apartment. Her young son and daughter also benefit from their mother's creativity, by getting to sleep in a bed specially designed by her.
Being in a creative, yet competitive business - she is an art dealer specializing in Indian art - Mrs Kamdar has cultivated the attitude of settling for nothing less than the best in any area of her life - especially in the area of comfort for her family. She is proud to say that Carrier has been cooling her home for three years since they renovated it, with no problem at all.
With
a nose for good deals, and an art dealer's critical eye, Mrs Kamdar zeroed
in on Carrier. When she chose Carrier, she and her husband were first
enticed by the attractive promotion. "They were giving away home
appliances, which came in handy as we were shifting in after the renovations!"
exclaimed Mrs Kamdar. However, she is glad they made the right choice
as she is perfectly happy with the cool, quiet efficiency of the Carrier
air-cons… and the Carrier service men.
The Kamdars believe in regularly servicing everything in the house - from professional cleaning of the curtains, to servicing of the refrigerator and major appliances - to ensure everything functions at its optimum. "After all that money spent on these things, it doesn't make sense to let them run down with neglect, don't you think? That's what my husband always says," she continued.
It is thus no surprise to hear of their air-con service contract with Carrier. Besides doing a good job of keeping the airconditioners running efficiently, she is impressed with the fact that the same Carrier team comes on each maintenance visit.
She appreciates their initiative to get to know their customers, as she doesn't like the idea of strangers coming into the apartment, "Our Carrier men have seen my baby daughter grow up!"
"They even know when to come, in order to avoid my son's afternoon nap. If they miss it and my son is sleeping, they happily arrange another time so my son can sleep undisturbed… the Carrier Man CARES!"
